At Fêtes by Linda, celebrations are about more than milestones — they’re about connection, belonging, and joy. Alongside weddings, I create and host community events across Victoria and Vancouver Island that bring people together in meaningful ways.

From BIPOC women’s gatherings to vibrant queer celebrations, each fête is designed with the same care and intention I bring to every wedding. My goal is simple: to craft inclusive spaces where people feel welcomed, valued, and celebrated.

A Sunday Fête was born from a quiet ache. The kind that builds over time when you’re constantly navigating spaces that were never really designed with you in mind.

As a Black woman in the workforce, I’ve spent much of my career moving through rooms where I was either the only woman, the only minority, or the only questioning the inequalities that no one else seemed to see. Over time, that kind of isolation chips away at your spirit. You start to wonder if you’re imagining it, if maybe you just need to try harder, smile more, say less. But deep down, you know, it’s not you. You’re just not in the right room.

I started to crave something different. A space that felt like an exhale. A space where I didn’t have to explain myself. A space where I could just exist.

That longing stayed with me, quietly pushing me toward something warmer, something real. I wanted to create a gathering that felt like joy and reflection and community. A place where BIPOC women and femmes could show up just as they are and feel embraced. Where we could eat, laugh, rest, and remember that we don’t have to carry everything alone.

That’s what A Sunday Fête is.

It’s not just a networking event — it’s a celebration of who we are outside of our roles and responsibilities. It’s a seasonal series of intentional, soulful gatherings created by and for BIPOC women and femmes.

No name tags, no panels, no performance. Just good food, thoughtful connection, and space to breathe a little deeper. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, an artist, a student, a caregiver, or still figuring it out — you deserve to be held in community. And you’re welcome here.

Let’s reclaim our Sundays and gather. Not to grind or hustle, but to fête.
